Ceiling Light Fixture | ORBIS 1 (Gold)

The Orbis 1 ceiling light fixture from Sollux Lighting is a small gold cylinder, surface-mounted on the ceiling, that shines downward. It measures 10 cm in diameter and 10 cm high, and takes one GU10 bulb.

A gold ceiling light with a simple shape

Orbis 1 rests on a very simple shape, a cylinder as wide as it is tall. This gold ceiling light brings a warm touch to the ceiling. Its gold finish catches the light, whether on or off.

The gold pairs with brass, gold frames and dark wood. On a white ceiling, it creates a bright, warm point. On a deeply colored ceiling, it stands out even more.

Its design is raw and minimalist. It suits modern interiors as well as industrial-style rooms. Its simple shape is easy to maintain, with no corner where dust can settle.

A compact surface-mounted spotlight

The cylinder is fixed directly to the ceiling. This surface-mounted spotlight requires no cutting into the ceiling. It suits places where a recessed spotlight cannot be installed.

At 10 cm in diameter and 10 cm high, it stays very compact. It finds its place in small rooms. It also suits low ceilings, since it only hangs 10 cm down.

Its small size lends itself to series. Several cylinders lined up trace a line of gold points on the ceiling. Mark out the alignment before drilling, because the slightest deviation shows.

A ceiling spotlight pointing downward

The light comes out from the underside of the cylinder. This ceiling spotlight forms a crisp circle on the floor, a table or a piece of furniture. The rest of the room keeps a calmer light.

You choose the color and the beam with the bulb. A warm white enhances the gold finish. A narrow beam highlights an object, a wide beam lights a passage.

In a series, use the same bulb throughout. The circles of light then have the same size and the same color. The whole looks neater and more even.

Where to install this hallway ceiling light?

This hallway ceiling light is placed in a line, along the axis of the passage. Keep an even gap between the cylinders. The hallway gains a luminous rhythm, punctuated by gold touches.

In a bedroom, this ceiling light lights the wardrobe, the reading nook or a chest of drawers. In an office, it lights the desk with a crisp circle. In a child's bedroom, it lights the desk or the play area.

Orbis 1 takes 1 LED GU10 bulb of 10 W maximum, not included. The fixture is rated IP20, so it is intended for dry rooms only. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. For maintenance, switch off the power, then wipe the cylinder with a soft, dry cloth.
